CAMBRIDGE FARMERS' CLUB.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Cambridge Farmers' Club was held at 2 p.m. yesterday, the full report of which is to hand, but unavoidably held over to next issue. Mr Fanthain read an essay on " Pleuro-pneumonia," which elicited some discussion, alter which Mr F&ntham proposed the following resolution: — " That the Government be requested to appoint a duly qualified vetenary surgeon to inspect all stock before they are landed in any port in New Zealand." Mr. James Kuncitnan seconded and it was carried. Rule 6 was suspended to enable Mr. James Runcimau to propose the following resolution :—": — " That the following gentlemen be a Committee to consider the applicability of the proposed drainage bill, (printed and lately before parliament and to beconsidred next seession), to this part of the country and to report to this club at its Maich meeting." The President, Messsrs E. B. Walker. Henry Reynolds, Charles J. Storey and the mover, Mr, Robert Ferguson seconded and the motion was caaried.
