Tuiabtj, January 23. — Measv-i Jonas, Hart aud Wildie held an important sale of wool, skins, hides, ke, to-day. The attendance was numerous, and the result exceptionally satisfactory, the prices being higher than had been obtained for 18 months past. Merino wool, 7d, 7Jd, 7}d ; crossbred*, 7d, 7jd, 7£d, and 7}d; merino skins, 3s 2d to 4s lOd; crossbred skins, 3s 3d to 4s lid ; lambskins, 9d to Is. Business in all branches is rapidly reviving, and, as harvest operations have now commenced under the best auspices, the outlook is exceedingly bright. Dunedin, January 23.— Wheat, 4s 9d to os per bushel ; iowls 1 wheat, 3s 6d to 3s 9d ; oats, Is 8d to Is 10d per bushel ; milling, 2s 6d; barley, 5s to os 6d per bushel ; feed, 3s to 3s 6d per bushel ; potatoes, £6 5s to £6 10s, according to quality ; new kidneys, 7s per cwt. ; new round, 5s 6d per cwt. ; hay, £4 per to 4: chaff, £4 per ton ; straw, £2 per ton ; bran, £4 per ton ; pollard, £5; flour (large sacks); £11 10s to £11 los per ton ; oatmeal, £12 ; pearl barley, £26 ; onions, 10s per cwt. ; old cheese, 7d per lb. ; new cheese, 6d to 6 id ; bacon (rolled), 9£d ; hams, lOd ; beef, 22s 6d per lOOlbs. ; mutton, l^d per lb.
