Mr Ward (Captain Bead's irastees' solicitor), Mr Cooper, and a large number of natives and Europeans left here by the s.s. "YVanaka, to attend the trial on the 28th of Captain Read's trustees v. W. L Rees, claiming &11,000 damages for defamation of character.
