The funeral cortege that followed the remains of the late Mr Walker to the grave yesterday afternoon was one of the largest we have seen in "Waikato, fully 600 persons being present. It was fully two o'clock when the procession formed and the coffin was brought forth from the Masonic Hall, where a close Masonic service had been held over the body by Bro. the Rev. "W. Calder. A large number of persons on foot followed and accompanied the procession, which was fully a quarter of a mile in length, from the Masonic Hall to the cemetery, the band playing the Hymn of Luther. The burial service of the Presbyterian Church, of whick deceased was a member, was read by the Eev. W. Evans, and the Rev. Brother Calder, the chaplin of Lodge Beta, gave the Masonic service, the responses and closing hymn being accompanied by the harmonium, which had been provided for the purpose.
