At the wool sale on Tuesday, hides were pitched in less numbers than usual and at recent values, 3^d to 3fd the lb. Sheepskins from 2}-d (for pelts) to 3s 7d for wooled-skins. Wool in the grease was from to Id higher than last week ; washed, At Bemuera, on Thursday, dairy cows were in usual number, and brought from £6 to £10 2s 6d each. Not many stoic cattle yarded; those were in demand, particularly young cattle The imported shorthorn cows occasioned a large attendance, and they were fairly competed for. lhe.highest price realised.waa 40 guineas, fgifflk Jbf w orm Smith lor _a choice ' roan heifer. A number of others brought from 12 to 31 guineas each, and the heifer calves 12 to 13 guinea* each.
