Dunbdin, Saturday. The seventeenth match between Otago and Canterbury was commenced to-day on the Caledonian G- ouud. The attendance at the commencement of the game wanot la ge, but, as the day wore on it increased considerably. Ashby, the Canterbury captain, won the tosH, and sent Hartland and lpe to face the bowling of Paramour and McLennan. The following are the detailed scores : —
