WELLINGTON.
It is stated the Native Minister and probably another Minister will, be on the spot at the Waimate Plains, to deal with emergencies as they arise on the military occupation next month. The utmost care will be taken for the protection of out settlers, and it is deemed highly probable that precautionary steps "will be taken to prevent any hostile demonstration from Pariliaka, which position most likely will be occupied.
