THE RACER ORAKAU.
TO THE EDITOE. Sir, — I see by your Thursday's issue that the "gallant trooper-" has mustered sufficient courage to send you his name. Since he has, I beg' to . inform him that Orakau, the winner of the Cavalry Cup at Cambridge, is my \bona fida p operty, and he has done more drill m the Waikato Cavahy than any other horse that ran m the same race, and whoever informed, the gallant trooper that Orakau is not my bona fide property, tells a deliberate falsehood, and I am afraid if Mr Trooper or his informant was near me when I read Mr Trooper's impertinent letter, I should have told them so m stronger language. To give Mr Trooper further proof that Orakau is my bona fide property, if the Waikato Cavalry should at any time be called into, action I should be most happy, to lend him to the " gallant trooper." Ho might want to leave for home m a hurry, and would then find he could do so at a good pace. By inserting the above you will greatly oblige. — I am, &c, Geo. Wilkinson, Te Awamutu, 12th December, 1879. j
