Parliamentary.
[by electeio telegraph.] . Wellington, Last Night. Mb Sheehaw, who will most probably go to Cambridge and .practice as a solicitor, •will endeavor to-day to extract from Government a definite declaration of the policy with regard either to the abandonment'of native land held by part purchase, or their retention, with a view of having knowledge made public for all concerned. The Uivil Service. Bill brought m by the Government will give another portfolio, the salary being made by taking £250 from the Premier and £150 from each of the other Ministers. In the House to-night, the Premier read a telegram from sir J, Yogel re the loan. It is stated that the loan had been subscribed twice over. 97^ was the minimum advertised price. The exact price at which it is floated, is not stated, but it is expected to be J>9 or 100. The news was received with great cheering by the House to-day. . Me Whitaker presented a petition from 1,0.00 inhabitants of Walwato p aying that tho Hamilton oarfe bridge be made af cc bridge, frobably.th© session is too far advanced for any decision to be come to, but the petition . immensely strengthens the hands of the Waikato members to press the matter. It is likely, but not settled, that the Governor will go- to the Waikato Turf Club races. The Tariff Bill passed without amend, nient.
