"A iarge majority of the Upper House are adverse to counsel's opinion that the Government Reform Bill, having failed to obtain a twothirds majority m the Assembly, as prescribed by the Constitution, should not be sent to the Legislative Council, but is defunct. Sydney, December 10. Mr Maclean's cattle won no prizes at the Sydney Cattle Show. The famous bull " Duke of Newcastle " was commended.
