' [by telegraph.] Kawhia, Lasf Night. There is rauoh excitement here by the appearance of five whales entering the harbor, swinging round, and going out again. The natives declare such an omen has not been seen since before the war and portends that someMerrible calamity will soon befall the Maoris.
