On Tuesday, hides and skins were both, offered m full numbers Good hides ranged from 3£dto3gdthelb: sheepskins, from 2s 2dto 3s each ; bags of wool, m grease, 5-J-d ; washed, 7^d the lb. At Remuera, on Thursday, store cattle were m brisk domand at fuli values, and inferior fatted cattle were also bought by the grazier, occasioning a slight rise m well -f fitted cattle, which were m steady demand at prices varying between 28s and 3 1 s the lOOtbs. Fat u.-tuats were m fair supply and steady demand, at from 28s to 32s per lOOlbs. At Papakura, on Wednesday, ,thc yards were completely crammed, and. about 800 beasts changed hands at fully Newmarket rates. There was no noteworthy alteration m last week's quotations. Sheep. — A large . number have been brought forward. The demand was steady, and for some pens a slight advance was given. Fat wethers sold at from 12s 12s 6d to 16s; ewes, lls to 14s. > ambs were plentiful at from 7s to 4s 9d. Pigs were m short supply, but without alteration m value. At the ."-pedal spring sale held at nhaupo on Wednesday, * ovember sth, there was an unusually large number of cattle yarded, principnlly steers from 1 to 2-year-old. The attendance of buyers for large quantities were good, consequently cattle elicited keen competition throughout the sale, andnearly every beast was quitted at eatisfaotory prices.
