ATTEMPTED ESCAPE OF YAKOOB KHAN. [SPECIAL TO THE MELBOURNE "AGE."] LONDON, November 3. Yakoob Khan, assisted by a number of his followers, attempted to escape from Cabul, it is believed with the intention of heading an opposition to .the British ocenpation. The plot was lrustated. PARIS, October '3l. The Government have threatened to expel Don Carlos, unless he forthwith ceases to take part m all political demonstrations.
