AUCKLAND, Last Night. Messrs Cochrane and Son offered the Waitoki blocn at the Thames River, cut up m moderate farms. Only No. 1 was bid for, and sold at 42s per acre. CAMBRIDGE, Last Night. The Cambridge Presbyterian Church Bazaar was opened to-day. The Rev. F. T. Evans, m delivering an inaugural address, congratulated the Committee -on the large and beautiful collection uf articles, v» hich had been brought together by the exertions of the members and friends throughout the district. The Band is present, and adds much to the general attraction. A fair number of articles are already disposed ®f, and there is a considerable of visitors. Great things are expected of the dwarf, who is to appear this evening. The Committee, President, and Vice-President of the Show are still at work, m their coat sleeves, upon the shed and structures for the Show. Nearly every spare, bed m the township is already engaged. Many visitors have arrived. A large number of implements are now on the ground, and still more to come The township is very lively. We shall keep strict holiday to-morrow. The Show dinner takes pl»ce at 5 o'clock, great preporations are being made. All. the rank, beauty, fashion and talent of Waikato are expected to grace the festive boards. Raynes is going to surpass himself. ' DUNEDIN, Last Night. A meeting is being held to urge the advisableness of steps being taken to immediately terminate the political situation at Wellington. Waters has been arrested and lodged m gaol.
