ALBERT POTTER, Wool Stapler and Scourer, having had repeated appHcations for Wool cleaned by " his process" for tho purpose of making Beds, Mattresses. &c., has induced him to introduce' to the notice of ladies and gentlemen, private families, hotel and boardinghouse keepers, especially invalids, and tho pnbUo in general of New Zetland, his .Pure Wool Mattresses, Squabs for Sofas and 'Couches, Beds for Children's Cots, Settees, <Src, and in domg so would beg to observe that the Wool his Mattresses are stuffed with is divested of all dirt, animal and glutinous matters, and is entirely fico from impurities of every description, " the fibres of tlio Wool retaining all its elasticity and flexibility, as when in the previous state, —^tbe yolk." Therefore persons using them will not be subject to those very disagreeable vapors which the pressure of the body, assisted by its heat upon impure animal and other substances, emits, and the many diseases whicli follow it, as an acting cause. Hamilton, Waikato, March, IS/9. Medical Testimony. Hamilton, April Ip, 1879. — Sir, I have carefully looked over some specimens of your Wool prepared for Mattress making, and find it not only excellent in quality but free froin any disagreeable smell or grease. Tho Wool is so carefully "carded' that no "felting'' can take place, thus ensuring that beautiful softness and elasticity so essential to a bed. For some years 1 have used Wool Mattresses in my own house prepared by ( mvself, and I greatly prefer thein to any other kind ; but you far excel me in the softness and elastic character of your "carded" wools.- — I am, sir, yoursobediently, E. Waddington, M.D. To Mr Albert Potter, Hamilton East. Auckland, April 26, 1879.— 1 certify that I havo carefuUy examined sonie specimens of " carded" Wool, prepared by Mr Potter, of Waikato. They arc beautifully cleau, and free from any disagreeable smell ; and in my opinion are very suitable for Mattresses, whicli Avould bo very elastic, warm, and comfortable. — Thos. B. Kenderdine, M.R.C.S., L. & E. I have carefully examined the two samples of Wool which you gave me, and^ find them excessively clean, free from* smell, and admirably fitted for the manufacture of Mattresses and Cusliions, one of which I also inspected. I consider a ( well-made Wool Mattress more heaVliy and comfortable than a feather bed ; ai.il, judging from the samples I saw in your possession, I can most conscientiously recommend the materials and the work; — Charles F- Goldsboro', M.D., Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, &c.
