THE HAMILTON DOMAIN BELT SALE.
The sale of the twenty-one years lease of some thirty-nine allotments of land in the town belts of West and East Hamilton, comprising altogether about 250 acres, immediately surrounding the town of Hamilton, will take place this afternoon at the Borough Council Chambers. Some of the lots to be offered are very valuable, from the position being suitable for villa sites, while some will, long before the term expires, form part of the business portion of the future city. No. 11, especially valuable from its having a frontage to the railway, reaching up to the station yard in Victoria-street, has been withdrawn from the sale, as it is considered advisable to hold it over for a time, and then offer it in half-acre lots, as sites for timber-yards, coal-yards, and such purposes, each one of which could have its siding from the railway line.
