(Special to Melbourne ' Age.') LONDON, OcuiLer G. News from Afghanistan states that communication with General Roberts has been restored, the British overcoming the opposition of the mountain tribes. Goneral Roberts has reached to within fifteen miles of Cabul, and it is believed he will occupy tho city in a few days. AFFaIRS IN BUR VI AM. The relations are becoming exceedingly strained between India and Burmah. The British navy in Burmese waters is being strengthened.
