Sir, — I would not trouble you with any remarks upon your notice of the meeting of tho Domain Board, in this day's issue, but for the reason given therein for my dissenting from the action taken by Messrs McDonald aud Kuox. Those gen_lo„ueu, at a full meeting of tho Board, held previously, ordered aud agreed for tho lands, as per advertised schedule, to bo submitted by auction, others retained to be dealt with hereafter, and others for reserves. Now that the time for salo is at hand, at a meeting where only a part of tlio members were present, it was suddenly ordered — without notice— that a valuable block of land, adjoining tlie railway line, near the Station, should bo offered with those already advertised. To such a mode of proceed'iny, I dissented, and as far as I am concerned, never will allow it. parties havo examined the maps exhibited, aud compared the scheduled lauds, and have gone away with their mind made up. This alone ought to have been a sufficient bar to adding any other. Ths lot added, containing nearly fivo acrea, would, in my humble opinion, bo better cut up in small sections, and submitted for sale with others hereafter ; and, ag_iiu, the Borough may require a site near tho place indicated. The system adopted in pressiug this lot into the present sale together with tho assertions of both those gentlemen, that the Domain lauds ought not to have been advertised iu the uckland papers— only iu the Waikato Times — shows ii de-ire to deal with tho : e lands other than that contemplated by the Domain cts, iind the Governor's delegated powers to us in respect to tlnm. This was what cau-od, as you term it, " a stormy discussion," and my abruptly leaving the chamber. —l am, fc, albert Potter;
