At the" Hay market, on Friday, fodder brought 3s and 3a 3d tho cwt. ; oats, 2s 8d ; maizo, 3s lOd tho bushel ; socjond-hund, buggy, £29. The draught entire colts from Canterbury brought respectively £150 and £120 ; heavy draught, from £35 to £'17 10s ; draught foals, from £8 15s to £13 ; two-year-olds, £10 15s to £17 10s ; medium and light harness, from £14 to £30. A t Remuera, on Thursday, few dairy cattle wore yarded. There was a largo number of coarse-bred steers m low condition ; prices ranged from £4 for two-year-olds, to £5 for three-year olds. Fat cattle were m less number than average ; 110 yarded. Prices ranged from 33s to 375, good cattle bringing 37s the lOOlbs steadily. Fat sheep were m moderate number only, and with a bettor inquiry ; prices were firm. Lambs Avere plentiful and better worth, best quality from 12s to 17s each. MESSES HUNTER AND NOLAN S WEEKLY REPORT. Horses : At the Durham yards, the competition was good, and, almost without exception lots were cleared at the previous week a quotations. Cattle : At the cattle fair at Papakura on Monday, the Newmarket sale on Tuesday, and .the regular monthly sale at Papakura on Wednesday, about 1500 head have changed hands. We quote : — Dairy cows, from £7 to £9 15s ; weaned calves, from £1 16s to £2 lls; yearling steers (good class), from £3 10s to £3 18s; ordinary, from £2 los to £3 6s ; well-bred bull calves, from £4 to £5 5s ~; 1^ and 2-year-old'steers, £4 to £5 10s ; 3-year-old steers, from £6 to £7 2s 6d ;' store cows, from £3 15s to £5 ss; 2-year-6ld heifers, from £4 to £4 15s. Sheep; Prices still m favor of the purchaser — Is 8d per 81bs- being the highest price given. Store ewes and lambs sold, at 12s. Fat lambs were scarce, and sold at from 9s to 10s 6d.
