LONDON, September 16. , The ' Times ' publishes a telegram from Candahar that the Ameer has summoned troops from the Herat, Backa, and Ghilzai tribes to Cabul for a religions Avar. „ LONDON, September 17. The Ameer has written another letter expressing his deep distress at the massacre, and confidence m the British Government. Tho British troops have advanced ta Khushi, beyond Shatergurdum. The friendly tribes are generally quiet. LONDON, September 19. Anarchy prevails at Herat. The civil military governors there have been massacred. LONDON, September 22. ... Afghans attacked Shutergarder, and were repulsed. Lord Beaconsfield, at Aylesbury, denounced agitation for reduction of rents, as setting tenants against their landlords, and loading to democracy and despotism. CALCUTTA, September 22. The Embassy from the Ameer of Afghanistan arrived at Alckaleye, with pacific assurances.
