THE CABUL MASSACRE.

BOMBAY, September 14. The mutineers at Cabul acted, and are still acting without a leader. They are endeavoring to incite the tribes to attack General. Roberts' s flank at Shutergarden, which was re-occupied on receipt of the news of tho massacre of the mission. No, hostile movement has as yet taken place. A letter from the Ameer to tho Viceroy of India, written subsequent to the massacre, declared a sincere friendship. There being conflicting accounts as to his sincerity and attitude, the Indian Government were somewhat distrustful as to the sincority of his protestations, and General Roberts received instructions to ask him to prove his friendship m a practical manner. The frontier is perfectly quiet. There are no hostile signs, and perfect tranquility reigns at Candahar.
