Laurance Mdrhall Geace, Esquire, Returning officer for the WESTERN MAORI ELECTORAL DISTRICT, do hereby give netice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 22nd doy of August, 1879, under the Publio Seal of the Colony, an Election will be held for the return of one qualified person to serve as Member pf the House of Representatives for the said Electoral District, and that the nomination of candidates •will take place at the Court House, Cambridge, Wailiato, at noon, on the First day of September, 1879, and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on the eighth day of September, 1879.
