At Hamilton last night Mr Campbell again addreised a Lirgs audieace m the Public Hr*U. Mr P. Walker occupied the chair. Ia answer to questions (1) Mr Campbell stated he would advocate the removal of the numb 3rd from the ballot papers. (2) I would -vote against tin.Government if they iatroduced the Dual Vote into an Electoral Bill. (3), Wirh regwl to the £35,000 voted for tha railway not soent, I aho'ild endeavor to see th™ not £33,000 bat, £168,000 should be put on the estimate*, aud the work b-3 oomra -need afc oncel (4), 1 think it woul ■« be no use next session m talking about the past, m re-entßriiig on thb question of noe-expeuditure a_ thia end of the line. I would like to sea something' done for the future. (5), 1 would h-«ve thy debt on the H-imilboa Bridge made a colonial debt and do not ace why the Hamilfco • Corporation should be the one plac * m the whole diamefc saddled wir,h a d^bb of this kiod. (6), The question of the railway station shouid be left to th cpginsera. (7), The reasons why I c-vma forward, albaouga ray principles are the same aa Sir Whyte's and he was first; ou* are because I have been urgeutty requested to do so. (8), I would resign if culled upon by my constituents to do' so if I tailed to satisfy them. Mf Potter proposed, and MrLovegrove seconded, a very cordial vote of thank-i to Mr Campbell for the very lucid mannei m which he has enunciated his views The resolution was carried with acclamation.
