LONDON, August 12. The wool catalogue ij 39009 bales from New South Wales ; Queensland, 2590 ; Victoria, 1G31 ; New Zealand' 1120. Prices .have occasionally favored buyers. Poor merino crossbred lambs four to 8 per cent, cheaper. Tho Orientnl Bunk notify that advicos from branches are' now compieto, and warrant the payment of a dividend of 8 per cent. The failure ot two Canadian Banks has caused a drain on the Now York ■'cash reserve. The temporary panic at Montreal has subsided. LONDON, August 12. The Commission appointed to inquire into tho agricultural distress m Great Britain consists of the Dukes of Buckleuch and Richmond, Earl Spencer, and the Eight Hon. Air Goschen , The colonial wool sales opened with a moderate attendance of both Home and foreign buyers. Total number of bales arrived, 320,759. Prices about the same as last sales. Oross-breds shew a general decline of |d per Ib.
