Mil- A. BUCKLAND'S WEEKLY ItEPOKT. On Friday last fodder was plentiful, and brought from 3s to 5s tlio cwt. Potatoes, £7 to £7 173 6d the ton; carrots, 5s the cwt; maize, 3s lOd and 4s ; oats, 3s; barley, 2s 9d to 2s lid the bushel. Horse stock, though not so free of sale, wore without alteration m values. Heavydraught brought £3-1 to £16 ; mediumdraught, £15 to £2!) each. The cattle sale, at Pukekoho, was well attended. About 30 head of grown cattle and sundries were sold at satisfactory prices. The greater part of the skins offered on Tuesday wore damaged, and brought l^d the lb; sound hides, Ski; sheepskins, from Is Gd to 2s Bd. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cows wore m fair inquiry, at prices varying from £7 to.£ll. Yearling steers m demand' at full values, £4 12s 6d each. Coarse store cattle dull of sale. Fat cattle m full numbers ; 135 head yarded. Prices lower than last Aveek fully 2s 6d the lOOlbs., and ranged from 25s for cows and heavy oxen to 28s for choice steers. The late rough weather is affecting the condition of the cattle. Many of those sold wore evidently losing condition. Sheep were yarded m full numbers. Store sheep at lower values, but fat sheep maintained last week's prices. Lbngwooled ewes brought 10s each ; hoggetts, 7s 6d to 8s; lambs, m low condition, 2s to 4s 9d; fat wethers, 2Jd the lb.; ewes, from 2^d. Pigs m full number, and brisk enquiry at last week's values. MESSES HUNTER AND NOLAN S WEEKLY BEPORT. Horses.—There has been no marked alteration m the market, scarcely an average number have been brought forward. Bidding at auction was slow, and on Friday, m many instances, returns could not be reached; but, with few exceptions, those submitted were aferwarcls disposed of privately. 'Jhere was nq noteworthy alteration m values. Cattle.—Considering the state of the weather, there has been a large muster of steers, a fair one of dairy stock, and fat, beasts have been plentiful. The demand was spirited, and well-bred stores have had a slightly upward tendency, particularly at Pukekohe, on Wednesday, where less than the usual number Avere yarded. There was no change m values worthy of remark. Sheep were m adequate supply, and met steady competition at from Is 8d to 2s per 81bs, stores were m limited numbers, and unaltered m value.
