[From a Special Correspondent.]
PATEA, last night.
Owing to bad weather no furthec action was taken 1 by> the natives. Fourteen ploughs were brought, but no ploughing " has been commenced up to three o'clock to-day. A native was yesterday sentenced to six months' imprisonment for stealing from a Hawera storekeeper; when arrested, he said all the stores m Hawera belonged to Te Whitij and would be m the hands of his followers.
