Waikato Times Offioe, I Friday Evening. I AUCKLAND CATTLE MARKET. MR. A. BUCKLAND'S WEEKLY RBFOBT. At Rcmnera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were m full numbers and steady demand. Prices slightly lower than have lately ruled, and ranged from £7 10s to £10 Ids. Store cattle m good enquiry, and short of requirements. Eat cattle in* average supply — 120 head yarded. Prices higher than last week, and ranged from 26s to 30s the lOOlbs., but those that obtained the higher figure were m limited number — 28s being the ruling prico for gocd cattle Sheep m moderate number — about 400 yarded. Prices were steadier than last week, and wore at 2Jd throughout for good and average quality. Not many pigs yarded, and those were m request. Eat calves scarce, aud at extreme values. MESSRS HUNTER ANDNOLAN'S WEEKLY REPORT. Horses. — There has been a tolerable supply. We quote hacks from £4 15s to £14; light harness horses from £15 to £23 ss; medium draught, £30. Cattle. — There has been quite an average supply of dairy and store stock, and rather a large one of fat beasts. At Newmarket, on Tuesday, dairy cows, at their profit, were short of requirements. Stores wore m moderate numbers, and fat 'beasts m adequate supply. At Pukekohe, on Wednesday, there was a good muster. Competition was brisk, and prices were quite up to those obtained at Newmarket. We quote dairy cows, from £10 to £12 10s; dry cows, £1 10s to £6 ; calves, 38s to 57s 6d; yearlings, £3 to £3 17s 6d; two-year-old steers, -from £4 to £5 17s 6d ; three-year-olds, £5 10s to £7 os. - Sheep.— The number penned was not nearly so large as on the previous week. Prices had an upward tendency, and there remains an unsatisfied demand for good wethers. Prices ranged from Is 8d to 2s per 8 lbs. Very few lambs yarded. Demand slack.
