THE CONDITION OF THE BANKRUPT MELBOURNE BANK.
MELBOURNE, May 23. The auditors' report shews the assets of the Provincial Bank to be JE52,000, • liabilities, £79,000. Eorther contributions of capital of not less than £27,000 will ba required to meet the engagements. The share register is incomplete, bat ten thousand shares are held by petsons liable for calls. The notes in circulation amount to £18,000, including ,£II,OOO belonging to another bank; £70,000 capital. The sum. actually paid up is £25,000, instead of £45,000, as is apparently represented.
