AUCKLAND CATTLE MARKET. MR. A. BUOKLAND'S WEEKLY REPORT.

At the Haymarket, on Friday last, fodder was in fully supply, and brought from 3s 9d to os the cwt.; bonedust, £7 the ton; potatoes, Mto£iss 6d the ton; maize; 3s 9d to 4s 3d; barley, 3s; oats, 3s 6d to ,4s; damaged wheat, 3s 3d to 3s ■ 9(1 the bushel.

At Remuera, on Thursday; dairy cattle were short of requirements, and those at calving were at extreme values. Store cattle in good demand. Ea£ cattle in less numbers than usual; 108 head yarded. At opening of sale, prices were low.er, but rcse, as the sale proceeded, to last week's values. Prices ranged from 25s to 30s the lOOlbs. Sheep were in usual supply, and low values—2£d the lb for wethers of choice quality.

Horses.—The supply has been good, but except for those of a really good stamp, the demand has been slack. We quote hacks, from £7 10s to £2l; light harness £l4 to £27 10s; draught, £SO. Cattle.—There has been a fair supply and steady demand, the exception being fat beasts not sufficiently up in condition. At Newmarket, on Tuesday, there was an average supply. Store and dairy cattle were without material alteration in value. Coarse beef a shade lower, but competition steady. Beef, 26s to. 30s per lOOlbs.' Sheep were yarded in very moderate numbers, but vendors' were indisposed to submit to a material reduction. Sales were limited,, and several lots were reserved.
