HAMILTON RIDING ELECTORAL ROLL.
Sib,— l see by the advertisement of tho clerk of the Waipa Council that the Electoral roll of tho Hamilton Riding is on view for public inspection at the residence of Mr'S. Steele. Why so. Surely Mr Steeles house is not thb' most generally convenient for the Sectors. Why not, a . Hamilton itself being j. borough is outside the country, at "sona© house immediately adjacent say even at tha Hamilton railway station. The business of settlers m all parts of the riding takes them to Hamilton Avhen fchey would have an apportunifcy of inspecting the roll, but never to Mr "Steeles residence. The effect will be that nineteen twentieths of the electors will never see the roll till too late to be of uas. If the roll itself is exhibited at Mr Steele to comply with the letter of the act, a copy of it at least should be on view m Hamilton to comply with the act's intentions. — Yours &c, Tax Payer.
