THE ENGLISH OPERA COMPANY.
Those who visited Le Quesne's Hall last nighb wore agreeably disappointed. Wo ourselves were nob among the number as no tickets had beeu sent, in the usual course of procedure, to this office. The unfavorable reports of the Auckland Press had rendered many suspicious of the ability of the company, but coming across the ferry with the first punt load, returning from the Opera, we heard nothing but expressions of satisfaction at the performance. The singing of Mrs Florence and the Prima Donna were especially subject of laudatory criticism, and the general opinion was, that a musical breab had been provided for bho Waikato public, which deserved a better support than had beeu accorded to it. The opera of tho Bohemian Girl will bo performed to.night.
