The Pmihake meeting is over, j and Mr Mnckay has returned. No deGnite settlement has been come to, but large numbers of natives ap-* prove of the proposals of a commission. Te Wh.iti fears it would shake his influence. If he remains .obstinate secessions from his party are probable. The natives are now discussing the matter amongst themselves.
