a. buckland's dbxtby faiu. At Drury on Thursday the cattle yarded wero principally grown stock, suitable for the grazier, and consequently m steady demand. Equable prices ruled throughout the sale, which arc about five per cent, higher than those obtained at the last month's auction; with the exception of dairy cattle which were relatively dull of sale. Prices given were: — Dairy cows, £8 5s to £10 ; young dry cows and heifers, £i 10s to £6 15s; old cows, from 455 ; well-bred three-year old steers, £7 17s 6d to £8 12s 6(1 ; two-year olds, £5 5s to £6 10s, yearlings, £2 15s to £3 10s ; calves, 30s to 555. Hay brought 4s 3d to 4s 9d per cwt. ; oats, 3s 9d to 3s lOd ; maize, 4s ; barley, 3s 6d per bushel. Horse stock were m larger number than usual, and mostly of an inferior, class. Good draught were m demand and broiight £45 each. Young* medium draught, suitable for active farm stock, £75 the pair ; two-year olds, suitable for ridiug horses or light harness, from £9 to £15. • ... : At Remuera, on Thursday, good dairy cows were m brisk request, and prices varied from £8 to £10 los. Store cattle m usual number and better inquiry. Fat cattle was m average number ; 116 head were yarded. Prices advanced slightly. Good cattle were steady at 32s the lOOlbs. MESSES HUNTBR AND NOLAN S WEEKLY BEPORT. Horses. — A large number were brought forward, and found ready purchasers ; those of a good stock were keenly competed for. Wo quote hacks, £4 10s to £17 ss ; light harness, £13 10s to £23 ; medium, £34 ; heavy, £46. Cattle. — There was no noteworthy alteration ia value as compared with last week. There was a moderate muster, and for good wethers a slightly advanced rate was given. Lambs were scarce, but unaltered m value.
