|BY TELEGRAPH.] . Napier, Tuesday. The Hawke's Bay Racing 'Club Meeting was held yesterday at Pakowhai. Several thousand people were present. All the trains were densely crowded. The greatest order preI vailed on the course, and the weather j was splendid. There was some ; dissatisfaction expressed at the delays between the different events. Hurdle Race of lOOsovs. 1\ miles, over seven hurdles. Grey Momus ... ... ... 1 Tawera ... ... ... 2 Wanganui .. 3 There were eight entries. Sky" sail started, and bolted off the coarse. Wairarapa also came to grief and fell, and Grey Momus won easily Inauguration Stakes, 40sovs. Never Miss 1 West End 2 Moanatairi ... ... ... 3 FiVe horses started. Hawke's Bay Cup, 250 soys. 2 miles. Sinking Fund 1 Little Wonder 2 Lara 3 Ten horses started. This race was not very good, and was a gift to Sinking Fund. Otupai, one of the favorites, was out of the race. A protest was made against Sinking Fund, on the ground that his acceptance was not m at the right time. It is not yet decided. Maiden Plate, 50sovs, Kaokaoroa 1 Pohukura 2 Day nnd Martin 3 Seven started. Distriot Plate, GOaovs. Lallaßookh 1 Hailstorm ... ... ... 2 West End 3 Consolation Handicap. Little Wonder 1 Skysail 2 Merlin 3 Eight started.
