SUICIDE OF SERGT.MAJOR FRASER.
Istblmgence was received m Hamilton, late last night, by tolograph, that Sergt.-Major Fraser, yesterday evening, at Te Awamutu, committed suicide by shooting himself through the left breast with a revolver, the hall coming out at his hack, and striking the wall behind him. It is supposed that he was suffering from temporary mental derangement. He attempted to shoot his wife, but she, with her daughter, escaped from the house, and he then conynitted the fatal act on his own person.
