MELBOURNE, March 8. The Autumn Meeting Newmarket Handicap resulted as follows : — Diomedes, 1; Le Loup, 2. The Steeplechase was won by Starlight, Prodigious, second. The cricket match resumed to-day. The Victorians m their first innings scored 146; m their second, 155. The Englishmen m their second innings are 31, for fonr wickets. The latter require only 22 to win, with six wickets to fall.
