THE CONDUCT OF THE WAR IN ZULULAND.

The London papers of to-day violently attack the conduct of Lord Chelmsford, Commander of the British forces m Natal, and demand his removal from that position. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.'s telegram, dated London, March 3, says : •■-- Wool: Competition is decreasing, and quotations are on an average £d to Id lower than at the opening. The principal decline has been m cross-breds.
The total reserve of notes and bullion m the Bank of England to-day is £18,500,0000. The total stocK of tallow m London, by today's return is 14,500 casks.
