ALEXANDRA, yesterday. It is finally settled that tho native meeting takes place at Hauwai, Kopua, on the lGth March. AUCKLAND, last night. The Maori Parliament at Oraki was to have met to-day, but m cousequeuce of the wet weather the opening ceremony was postponed until two o'clock on Tuesday Paora Tuhare will preside, and deliver the opening address. The object of the meeting is to discuss the subjects to be considered at the great meeting at Kopua m March, and to select representatives to attend on behalf of the friendly natives. The house m which the Parliament is assembled has been named " Koliimariraa," m memory of the great meeting held m 1860, which was attended by Governor Browne. Three influential chiefs arrived at Oraki from Hikurangi, to watch proceedings on behal? of Tawhiao. A telegram was received yesterday from Te Ngakao, inquiring when the meeting would bogin, intimating that he probably would be present. THE COLLIERY EXPLOSION*
