17, and 19 of tho Rating Act, and how they were to be reconciled with the Assessment Court notices for Waikato County. Supposing I did not sec the Valuation Roll until the loth February, and then found it necessary to appeal, how about the seven days' notice. Any ordinary individual would imugine that seven clear days must elapse after the lflth February before an Assessment Court could be held, and that the Assessment Judge would, m isruing the notice, recognise the meaning of the o auses above referred to. — I am, &c, J.PWaipa, Feb. 24, 1879.
