MB. A. BTJCKLAND'S WEEKLY EErOBT. Horae stock were shown in_ larger number than usual, but were nob m good enquiry. Heavy draught, from £32 10a to £50; medium draught, £19 to £26; unbroken medium draught, £16 to £24 ; riding stock, from £10 upwards. Dairy cattle, at Reoiuora on Thursday, were m steady request at full values. Young store cattle m demand; grown store dull of sale. !Fafc cattle m usual numbers, but a large proportion either of small size or indifferent quality ; prices ranged from 25s to 30s per lOOlbs. The sheep market was full and lower m value, the greater fall being m the heavier sheep. Prime wethers, averaging 901ba, brought 16s 6d each ; 601 b wethers, 14a ; ewes, 10s. Lambs abundant and well bred, but not well fatted; they were mostly bought by the grasiers at 5a and 6s each. Averages were:— 7 steers, W. Woodward, £ l J 17s (3d ; 5 steers, Jas. The horse market has been moderately active. Afc the Durham Yards on Friday, about the usual number were disposed of by auction, with little alteration m value, aa compared with last week, but prices had an upward tendency. We quote : — Hacks, from £0 to £15 ; light draught, £18 to £2-5 10s ; heavy draught, £30 to £67 10s. Store and dairy stook have been m fair supply and good demand. Fat stook have offered m excess of requirements. At Nowmarkeb on Tuesday, about an average number of dairy cows and stores were yarded ; competition was brisk, aud prices satisfactory to vendors were obtained. Thero was a full market ol fat beasta, but bidding was languid, and prices declined from 15s fid to 5s per lOOlbs as compared with tho previous week. Of sheep, an average number wore yarded at Nowniarket on Tuesday. There was littlo alteration iv value. Vendors expected a slight advance, which purchasers Tvcre unwilling* to give, consequently sales were diflloult to effect. Best wethors sold from 14a 6d to £1 ; lunxbs iv moderate supply— sold at from 5a to 9s Gd.
