Sir,— The larrikin element springing up m our population, and which must be put down with the strong hand, if law and order, and the fair progress of settlement aro to be maintained, is not confined to Hamilton. We have had cases m Cambridge lately which, if our police were as zealous as those of tho sister township, would form subject of adjudication m the Besident Magistrate's Court, Not long binoo, a gentleman m this neighborhood made a gift of a woll finished out-house, for the convenience of tho children attendiug Sunday school and day school of the Cambridge West Mission Boom, It wuh fixed m it« place on Saturday last, and ou Monday evening, some time after ten o'clock, some cvii disposed hoodlum, belonging to Cambridge West, tumbled it over the fence, and rolled it several chains a-way. The Committee suspect the guilty party, and will certainly prosecute, unJeBB the name is bought baok again'
