The native crops are not generally turning v.ut well, the wheat being small grained; this tlie natives attribute io so much dry weather this summer, I'ne oats are, however, turning out fairly. fSome of them havo been threshed oui, bub the river is yet too iow to get it down for sale. They are muoh too busy to talk about politics, so Paul i.uhaere, who has beeu up at Kopua this last week with old Manubiii, has had the .settlement of fixing the next meeting pretty union to tuemseives. It is arranged that after Paul's meeting a-t Kobiuoaramara they come up with rfir Greorge Grey and the Native Minister to Tawhiao's meeting, wuicb will most piobabiy t„ke place at Kopua or m its vicinity. I expect there w.ll be a large u umber of natives present at the Ohaupo races on the l2th <uid 13th mats., aud a good number have entered for the two Maori events. Young Tv Tawhiao informs me that he has leceived an invitai ou to attend, and be the guest uf a well-known Hamilton gentleman, aud, as he does not autioipate any objection from his father the King, it is pretty certain he will be present with a number of followers. Tawhiao was expected at Hikurangi yesterday from Kawhia.— Own uorrespokdent.
