MR. A. BUCKLAND'S WEEKLY BEPOaT. Afc Remuera to-day (Thursday), dairy cows were afc late values, "with a dull enquiry. A few empty cows were freely competed for, and brought from 85s to £5 each; no other store cattle yarded. Fat cattle were in fuller numbers: 149 head yarded, mostly steers; prices were steady throughout the s\le, and averaged 28s for steers, 26s for cows. Sheep were in averago number, bnb not of choice quality, and prices were lower—mixed ewes and wethers at 2gd por lb. Lambs were in less than usual number; good quality brought from 10s to lis each. Averages for cattle Avere:—S. Steele, 8 steers, £10 IGs Gd; 25 steers, R. Bent, £10 15s; 24 steers, Johu Gibson, £d 15s; 10 steers, J. S. Grahame, £9 9s; 10 head mixed sexes, A. Stewart, £9 ; 12 steers, W. J. Taylor, £8 12s Gd; 13 steers, John Martin, £8 Gs; 11 steers, Spaulding, £7 IGs Gd MESSRS HU2T-ER ASD NOLAN'S WBEKLY REPORT. Of horses, there has been an average supply and steady demand. Hacks sold afc from £6 los to £28 10s : light-harness horses, from £14 to £25; heavy-draught horse3, £50. Cattle: At Newmarket on Tuesday, scarcely average nnmbers were yarded. There was a steady demand throughout the sale. We quote: Dairy cows, from £7 15s to £12 ss; store cows, from 70s to £5; yearlings, from 60s to 755; grown steers, from 95s to £6 10s; beef, 28s to 30s per lOOlbs, and for a few prime animals 32s was given. Sheep: At the regular sale on Friday, above an average number were yarded and disposed of, vendors of stores being more reconciled to present prices. Fat sheep were in brisk demand, and prices had an upward tendency as compared with last week's prices. We quote : Store ewes, from 4s 9d to 12s 6d; wether lambs, from 3s Gd to 10s Gd; ewe lambs, from 2s 9d to Gs 9d; fat wefchers, from los Gd to 17s Gd; ewes, from 13s 3d to 16s Gd.
