Considerable surprise has been expressed by the settlers of t'ris district ab the altogether disproportionate number of immigrants ordered by the Government for Auckland as compared with Canterbury and Olago. Such cambers are out of all proportion, and that set down for this provincial district, will m no wise meet the requirements of settlors.
