■ Si^My^ .attention- has been called to a letter, which appeared m your widelycirculated.paper,: the purpoit of which Ayas that I should make known through the Press when there was a probability of the Cambridge-Piako Koad being openod for traffic. For the information of the public j generally; I, iiow, state that the contract, for the completion of the road has been let to Mr B. Montagu, who would have been at the work last week but for the flooded state of the swamp, ije will, hdwever, be "m full -swing this week , as the whole of the work has to be oomplcted, under a penalty, by tho let of March, 1579, at which time the road will be open, for pubHo traffic. -I am, &c, Jambs RuwcLYfAx, Chairman, Cambridge Highway Distriot Board, i Marsh Meadow.*, Dec. 9, 1878.
