THE WAITOA AND CAMBRIDGE ROAD.
Sir,— As a settler in the Waitoa district, and having frequent occasion to travel ! between Cambridge and the Waihon, I should like to ask, through 1 the medium of your journal, when the, road through the swamp and connecting Cambridge and the Piako will be finished and fit for ' traffij. As this is a mafter which largely interests and affects many of the settlets in the Piako and Waitoa districts as well as the Cambridge public, I should feel obliged if the Chairman of the Cambridge Highway Board would kindly transmit his rep’y to you for publication in the columns of the Waikato Times. I have batn inforrhed that thr gentleman occupyr ing, that position has undertaken the direction of the work and management of the expenditure upon the road iu question,—l have, &c., J.
