Both fat and store averages were:— W. Nicholls, —, £ll ys; 37 steers from Awitu, £11; 8 steers, D. Oaley, £lO 2s 6d; 6 steers, Robert Carruth, £lO ; 8 steers, W. McLaughlin, £9 lis 6d; 6 steers, W. Woodward, £9 19s"; 7 steers, John Smith, £9 7s Gd; 8 cows, R. Hall, £9. messes hunter and nolan's weekly REPORT. Horses: The supply has continued good, and there has heen a corresponding demand. Wo quote : Hacks, from £5 to £2G; light-harness, £l4 to £24 los; heavy-draught colts, unbroken, £4O 10s to £46; heavy-draught horses, broken, £3B to £42. —Cattle: Not quite so many were yarded at Newmarket on Tuesday as on the previous week. The value of fat beasts had an upward tendency, but there was no noteworthy alteration in other desertions of stock.—Skeep : In tolerable supply, but there was little alteration in value. Lambs were yarded in full numbers, and sold well.
