THE NEW WOOL SALES.
PALL JN WOOL. [press agency.] LONDON, November 19. The London and Colonial wool sales opened this afternoon, The total number of bales which have arrived and are available for the series is 179,000. The first day's catalogue was fairly representative of all the colonies, and comprised 7600 bales. The attendance of home and foreign buyers was large, and the competition keen, but prices shew an average decline of about a penny per lb. fall. This fall is most strongly marked in secured.
