Fibth, at Matamata, under the following conditions, viz.— The Laud is level, and m all cases will be Cleared ready for i Contractors, > Contracts i'oe No 1 Poetion. •■ 2000 ACRES to be Ploughed not less than four inches deep ; to be Harrowed three times. Ploughing must commence not later than December 9, 187S, and the whole work must be completed not later than Feb. 28, 1879, or 10 per cent of value of -work done will oe forfeited. One half of each portion contracted for vaunt be finished before January 19, 1879 ; m default, such contract will te terminated and re-let. CONTEACTS FOR No 2 PORTION. 1000 ACRES of Clover Land to be, twice Ploughed. First Ploughing to be thin furrowed, to commence not later than March 1, 1879, and to be finished not later than April 15, 1879. Secokd Ploughing, not less than five inches deep, to commence on April 15, at,d to be. finished not later than June 1, 1879, or 10 per cent of valne of work tlohe will be forfeited and contract terminated and re-let. • . ■ ■ < All Furrows m Contracts Nos 1 and 2 mast be e'ean cut and well turned over. Only Double-furrow' Ploughs to be used. The whole of the work must be done -to the satif action of Mr Cawkwbll, who will point out the ground to tenderers, The proprietor will provide Harrow*, together with free pasture for three horses ior each double-furrow plough or Bet of harrows used ; one extra horse to eacu team of three will be allowed to run at grass free ; grazing of every horse beyond that allowance will be charged for. Chaffed oaten hay, if necessary, will i be supplied after harvest, within three 1 miles of the ground, at £5 per ton, contractors finding bags. Oats, maizje, or bran will be deliverod at the Pakopako Landiog, on the Thames River, near the ground, at Auckland wholesale prices, m quantities of not less than one ton, with 308 per ton added for river carriage.
