MR. A. DUCKLAND'S WEEKLY UEPOJiT. ' v 'At the Remuera yards on Thursday, not many" store cattle were ottered. Unless of first-class quality, dairy cows were dull of sale, but choioo-bred animals were m good demand — ao high as £11 each. Fat cattle were m average supply ; prices steady, between 33s a-id 35s tho lOOlbs. ifov tho prize oxen, there was keen competition; they wore all purchased by Mr Carter— those of Mr Bent at £21 and £19 19s, and those of Mr Reynalda at £29. The averages of cattle sold were: — 38 steers, Seaton and Davidson, £13 Is6d; U sterna, R.Taylor, £9 18s; 6 steers, W. Woodward, £i) 15s ; fi head cows and steers, George Kerr, £9; 12 head, A. Stewart, £8 6s 6d ; 4 steers, W. Niohols, £12 each. Sheep were m usual numbers, and good wethers m steady demand; 200, ex ,Gk>-ahead, averaged 17s Gd. Lambs were short of requirements, and advanced prices were given for them; 150 sold at an average of 12s 6d. , , MESSES HUNTER AND NOLAN S WEEKLY BEI'OBT. Horses: At the Durham Yards on Friday, above the average number were entered, and, wiih scarcely an exception, diaposed of. We quote : Hacks, from £5 7aGd to £14 los; light-harneasa horses, from £12 to £19 os; medium-draught, £22 10s to. £30; heavy - draught, £42. Cattle : Dairy and store stocks maintained their value, but fat beasts receded a shade. We quote : Dairy cows, £7 to £10 10s ; year ing steers, £2 15s to £3 2s Gd ; two-year-old steers, £4 5s to £5 ; three-year-old steers, £5 10s to £6 10 ; beef, "30s to 33s per ICOlbs. Sheep : A good many lambs Avere offered, and sold at from 7s 6d to 15s 5d each. Fat wethers (shorn), from 16s to 19s 2d. Mixed sexes, from 11s to 15s 6d each.
